Here at Dyno Creative, our talent isn’t the only thing that sets us apart from our competition. Each member of the Dyno tribe comes from a diverse background of personal and professional experiences that inform the high level of service we provide our clients. Let’s get to know each other!

Today, we’re introducing you to Dyno Creative’s Creative Director and Co-Founder, Austin Haynes

Meet Austin Haynes

Have you ever met someone so personable you feel you’ve known them forever? Austin has that effect on people. His ability to make people feel comfortable, provide constructive feedback, and manage multiple projects to keep Dyno Creative’s design team moving forward are just some of the many skillsets Austin possesses that make him an invaluable member of our team.

Not only is he a strong Creative Director, but he’s also a crazy-talented illustrator and caricature artist. He is committed to remaining active in his artistic practice, both professionally and personally, which further enhances his positive impact on our team.

Professional Background

Austin is a Southern California native who graduated from CalState Fullerton in 2013 with a BFA in Visual Arts and Illustration. In addition to some freelance work, he began working for a local design and print services agency called 2 Thrive Media. During this time, he collaborated with several other creatives, including his long-time friend, Daniel Adoff.

In 2018, Austin and Daniel decided to partner up on a more permanent basis—and that’s when Dyno Creative was founded. To learn more about Dyno Creative’s design services, visit our Illustration and Branding service pages.

Austin is also an adjunct professor at the Laguna College of Art and Design (LCAD). Since joining the faculty in 2018, Austin has taught courses such as the Fundamentals of Photoshop, Design Drawing, Fundamentals of Illustrator, Graphic Illustration, Professional Practice, and Fundamentals of Digital Painting. He also taught intermittently at California State University Fullerton (CSUF) from 2019-2023 with a focus on Caricature and Cartooning.

Current Role at Dyno Creative

As Creative Director, Austin’s primary duties stem around project management and art direction. His main focus is to support the design team so projects keep moving forward and ensure that the quality of our work lives up to a high standard while meeting the creative needs of Dyno’s clients.

“I like having my hands in a lot of different projects and working closely with the design team. Mentoring our young designers is very rewarding and solving the needs of our clients is top priority.”

As the Co-Founder of Dyno Creative, Austin also strives to maintain a clear focus on our company’s core values: Evolution, Creativity, Playfulness, and Partnership. “Having a shared vision not only keeps us aligned internally, it helps us be intentional when making business decisions and choosing the right projects to work on,” shares Austin.

Q: How does CREATIVITY play an important role at Dyno Creative?

A:  “One of the things we do well is our clients are across a broad spectrum of industries and marketplaces. Our creativity allows us to adapt and find solutions that fit their specific needs rather than just doing what we want to do all the time. We all have our strengths, but together we are able to work towards a solution. Our passion for creativity allows us to find solutions that are wholly unique, original, and exciting.”

Q: What does PARTNERSHIP mean to Dyno Creative?

A:  “Community is such a big part of how we approach what we do. We’re always thinking about not just working for clients but how we can partner on our tasks. We want to work with people we want to actually spend time with. We’re your champion and want to see you succeed. We want to grow with you and be a part of your success and you be part of our success. Share in those wins. We also have four former or current teachers on our payroll and we’re constantly looking to build community and partnership. We want to keep our sphere of influence around people and opportunities that facilitate learning and growth. We always want to find new innovative ways to articulate our thoughts.”
