WandaVision Key Art + Illustrated Poster

We’ve been enjoying all the MCU content being added to Disney+, so we felt it was only right to try our hand at creating this alternate illustrated poster and key art for the series, WandaVision. Since the show tugged at our heart strings and gave us all the feels, as well as treated us with some pretty sweet visual eye-candy, we wanted to do the same for all of our fellow WandaVision fans out there.

The Goal

Our goal was to create a poster that captures the visual and emotive qualities of WandaVision.

Illustration

With so many interesting costume choices for our titular characters, we wanted to create a poster that teases a few of the standout appearances of The Vision, while hinting at some of the emotional baggage attached to them. We used two distinct silhouette shapes to act as windows into these alternate looks. The first resembles Wanda’s comicbook inspired crown, while the second is a diamond reminiscent of Vision’s Mind Stone.

The title treatment acts as a homage to the classic title, Bewitched, as does the show itself in the earliest moments of the series.

Results

We cannot wait to see what the future has in store for streaming service entertainment. Using our experience creating Key Art and illustration, we hope to dive deep into the format. Going forward, we would love to work on the properties that get us to tune in on a regular basis.
