In the bustling, lively industry of concert posters and merch, we wanted to showcase some of our illustration work to express our appreciation for the industry. We’re thrilled to unveil our concert branding project that captures the essence of Billy Strings’ soul-stirring performances. From the vibrant energy of his music to the raw authenticity of his lyrics, our designs aim to encapsulate Billy’s unparalleled talent and passion for storytelling through song.
To create an illustrated poster that summons the same electrifying bluegrass sensations that Billy Strings brings to the stage with every performance.
Our illustration serves as a visual symphony of intricate detail and dynamic composition that echoes the rhythms of Billy Strings’ music. We focused on creating a compilation of southwestern visuals with a lively, electrifying tone. The color palette we selected is built of some core natural colors, as well as some generously saturated accents that move your eye around the artwork.
The poster and merchandise were constructed to excite concertgoers to boogie and participate in the show. With busy artwork containing plenty of detail, we went with a bold typeface and added some texture to match the style of the poster. Rigid, organic, and contemporary design was our bread and butter descriptors when making final decision choices for this project.
