WORKSHOP
Each website project begins with a client workshop. The workshop includes all core team members who will work on the project. This is an opportunity for all team members to discuss the project scope, client objectives, and ask questions. This workshop ensures that all team members understand the broader vision of the project and that the scope is clearly defined.
INFORMATION ARCHITECTURE
SITEMAP
Once the project scope is clearly defined we will create a site
map. A sitemap is a section-by-section outline of each page in
the navigation hierarchy of the website. The sitemap is a visual
model that shows potential users paths throughout the website,
organizing all pages hierarchically. The sitemap will allow us to
assign types of content to specific pages and create a comprehensive
content outline.
INFORMATION ARCHITECTURE
CONTENT OUTLINE
The content outline is a text based document that outlines details each site pages functionality, features, expected content volume, along with any other requirements necessary for approval. Following approval of the sitemap, we will deliver a content outline document to the client. This document will act as a guide for creation of the UX wireframes which will be created in the subsequent phase of a website project. The content outline document will be a working document. At the time of its delivery, it may include assumptions and not contain all necessary content and information.

WIREFRAMES
The user experience design process allows us to create a blueprint of the website functionality prior to visual design. This phase ensures that all content is represented properly and optimized for ideal user experience. The wireframes will be a visual guide that represents the skeletal framework of the website. We will plan all features and content areas on each unique page of the website through the creation of wireframes.
Wireframes serve the same purpose to website design and development as blueprints serve to home construction.

MOOD BOARDS
Mood boards include a collection of design elements that provide initial images, concepts, colors and styles proposed for the general “look and feel” of the project.
The first round of mood boards typically includes 2–3 style concepts delivered to the client in digital format for feedback. We then refine the style until we have an approved direction to proceed with for visual design of the site pages.

Design concepts are static, non-functioning, visual designs of website pages. The wireframes and approved mood boards are utilized by the designer to establish the design look and feel of the website pages.

Design concepts are typically delivered in JPEG format for client review. Round 1 of design concepts will usually only include designs of the website home page. Typically 2–3 home page design concepts are provided for client feedback. Following approval of all website page designs, our development team will code each page layout for the new website. We’ll develop the page designs in batches of 2–3 pages, presenting each functioning page to your team for launch approval. Our development team will also integrate final content and imagery on each of these pages and prepare the website for launch.

QUALITY ASSURANCE TESTING & LAUNCH
Before pushing the site live, we’ll put the website through our meticulous quality assurance and testing process internally and through a third-party tester. After all known bugs are fixed, we’ll launch the website and train your team on how to update the site using the content management system.

Following the live release of the website, we support the new site for 30 days as part of our initial engagement. During that time, all bugs that are discovered will be resolved by our team.
